So last night we watched the Britney Spears live in Miami thing on Showtime. WOW.. How disappointing. There was this dude on there that was like a insanely hefty version of Boy George that was like the host and kept coming out to make comments and such... Lame! She was lip syncing most of the shit and the live versions of the songs left much to be desired. Oh yes, by the way.. This post is for my friend Shavaun... She was telling me to update my lj... haha. I'll try to update this a little more often, I guess.

So tonight Brandon, Bryan, Oscar and I went to the Orgy cd release party in Hollywood. Unfortunatly, an age requirement of 21(+) wasn't mentioned when we recieved the invitation to come.. so when we got down there, I couldn't get in. I was disappointed at first, as there were quite a few people younger than me who already got in and didn't even get carded, but in spite of that situation- the night turned out to be pleasantly eventful. I finally got the chance to meet up w/ Claudia, Carlton, Josh and Jay there.. and I had been meaning to chill with them since I made the move to cali, so that was definatly cool. Jay and everyone was trying to get me in, but it was already late and we had to get going... So it's all good though, the club owner was just really being a dick.. He was like "I don't care who you know, I don't even know the band.. This is my club and you are not getting in no matter what you or any of them have to say." It ended up being a great night and we met a lot of people who want to help The Anix, including James Murray (who just finished producing the Foo Fighters CD) and the owner of Cleopatra Records... So we're all stoked.

okay... so tonight was the placebo concert i was looking forward to so much.. we got there like 5 hours early because we wanted to meet them and get a good spot to see the show.. once we got there, we decided we'd go around to the backstage area and wait for them to come out.. after like an hour, stefan (bass) came out- talking his cell phone... once he was done with the call, we took pics w/ him and i got him to sign one of my placebo cds. He went back inside after that and around this time, most of our friends left my cousin and i to go grab something to eat. we waited like another hour or so.. and finally steve (drums) came to the door that led inside.. he looked at my cousin and she was like "hey! we don't mean to bother you, but do you think we could get pics with you real quick and an autograph?".. he just looked at her, rubbing his hands together to warm them up (it was like 60° outside)..then he walked back inside, ignoring her w/out a word said.. so we figured he didn't hear her, as she has a soft voice..
after that, we waited about 30 minutes longer, then saw brian (vocals/guitar) exit the side and go into their bus.. so we moved closer to the bus to try to approach him when he got out.. after almost 20 minutes, he came out and walked by us like we weren't there.. my friends were like "dude, call his name... this could be the last chance we have to meet him tonight..".. so i called his name and he didn't turn around or even seem to notice.. then i called it again and he continued walking... again... we still thought they weren't hearing us, there was a loud bus and a few cars going by.. brian then went into a bar across the street. my friends wanted to go into the bar to catch him but i was like no, that'd be lame and a bit rude.. so we waited by the bus entrance for him to return. after waiting almost an hour, my friends finally talked me into coming with them to the bar.. we were thirsty anyways so we went in, got a seat and ordered a few drinks... brian was sitting next to steve and as soon as we got situated, the opening band (stellastarr) came into the bar to sit with them.. when the waiter brought us the drinks, we noticed brian go out in front of the bar to smoke. not wanting to have 5 people come up to him at once, we decided only my friend blake and i would approach him. while we were walking out the door, he came walking in... blake was like "hey brian, do you think we could get a pic with you real quick?" and brian was already giving us the nastiest, condescending look.. like "oh god.. you're already wasting my precious time"... he rolled his eyes and was like "what a very.......... elusive way to meet someone, lads... better luck next time.." as he patted my shoulder and walked off. shocked and disappointed at what a fucking dick he was, we walked out of the bar... our friends saw what happened and didn't hear what was said, they just saw us talk and him pat my shoulder.. so they figured he had set up a place for us to meet with them and get some pics or something.. while we were outside, walking to get in the line for the show, our friends said they looked over and brian, steve and their friends were all glaring at them and making snide comments about us... confused, they paid their tab and came outside to look for us.. finally the doors opened and we entered the venue. while stellastarr was playing, i spotted brian over by the side of the stage, just starring at us and saying stuff in this dude next to him's ear.. so fucking lame... anyways..despite the enormous let down, they put on a great show.. they were one of the best bands i've seen live... however, I'm not going to the orlando show tomorrow i bought tickets for.. fuck them... :\

Okay, so I haven't posted in a while... Lots of news.. As some of you may have heard, I recently joined The Anix. I'll be doing bass, keys and backup vox live. The plan right now is that I'll be leaving on Dec. 15th, to arrive there on the 20th. On a completely different subject, I just got tix the other day for the Placebo shows in Orlando and Tampa coming up next week... Can't wait, they're going to be rad.

so mary and i went to see kill hannah tonight at the house of blues, the second time we've seen them in 3 days. they were rad like woah. we chilled with them and mat said they had heard of anix and usually play them before their shows.. he also said we 'definatly need to tour'..that'd be rad! kill hannah was definatly the best band i've seen live.. that's all for now! if you get a chance to see them in your area, you'd be stupid not to go. ;)
